Generosity has always been a part of our Arab culture and our religion. However, along with this generosity, the restaurants, weddings, and families at home, tend to be extravagant in their quantity of food.
This causes big amounts of edible extra food being thrown to waste. Therefore i wanted to create a project that would aim to lesson food waste and change our consumption habits. After intensive research i developed a self sustaining non profit organization called “Wajba” which means meal in Arabic.
To benefit from edible extra food “Wajba” aims to collect, pack and transfer good meals to individuals in need. This initiative was taken to lesson food waste but as well help the less fortunate. Wajba strives to raise awareness on reducing the environmental burden through reducing foods surplus disposal and providing a chance to give back to the community as an act of kindness.
The outcome is the brand, slogan, packaging, PR stop motion, and infographic poster.
