PROFILE

Hey there! Thank you for making it this far.

I’m sure judging by my picture and some of my work, you’ve already made a few assumptions about me.

1. Why does she look so serious? 2. Why is her work mostly black and white? 3. Where is she from? 4. Why does she talk a lot? 5. Why is she covered? 6. What kind of designer is she?

All great questions folks! (Fun Fact: I took this image myself. Yes, this is where the self-timer is your best friend.)

Well to save you some trouble, I’m originally Palestinian but I was born in the United States, Texas to be exact. Ten years later I moved to Dubai, UAE which I now call my home.

I think if it weren’t for moving across the world, I wouldn’t have discovered my passion for being a designer. The universe works in mysterious ways, and I’m forever grateful.

People often tell me my work says so much by showing so little. That’s kind of my motto. Minimalism. Simplicity. I think that’s the most powerful. It can seem easy when looked at but in reality, contains a long thought out process.

Over the years I worked really hard in developing myself as a designer, always eager to embark on memorable learning experiences that challenge my craft and creativity.

I’m hyper, social, and kind of the type of person that doesn’t rest till every small thing is aligned, organized, or fitted. (a weird way of saying a strong eye for detail) I’m diligent and patient in creating original design work and I love working both individually and within a team.

Through hard work and self-motivation, I was able to gain strong visualization and communication skills in both English and Arabic, whether it is in Branding, Package Design, Photography, Social Media, Illustration, or Film.

I think the best thing about being a designer is how the work and effort we put into something, can literally be limitless. It could be unfinished and not perfected but it will always have the potential to become something so great. That’s what keeps me going when I struggle or when I’m stuck. Perseverance.
